Amy Winehouse "Back to Black" & "Stronger than Me' & Yours" #MUSICVIDEO

Amy Winehouse (1)
My second post for this evening is featuring Amy Winehouse. I struggled finding a photograph on her that was decent and not all torn up. She had an extraordinary talent but ultimately allowed the industry to gobble her up and spit her out. It’s a shame and I loved her music. Her genre was considered a mixed bag of R&B, soul, jazz, ska and reggae.

Tonight I am going to feature two videos by request. The first one is “Back to Black(2) which definitely show cases her very special wide-range vocal talent. The second video is titled “stronger than me' & yours"(3). She looks fresh and young in this video. It must have been before she started doing drugs. Amazing!!

Peace Diana

Angie Stone "No More Rain" #MUSICVIDEO #DianaMarySharpton

There are a hundred things she has tried to chase away the things she won't remember and that she can't even let herself think about because that's when the birds scream and the worms crawl and somewhere in her mind it's always raining a slow and endless drizzle.

You will hear that she has left the country, that there was a gift she wanted you to have, but it is lost before it reaches you. Late one night the telephone will sign, and a voice that might be hers will say something that you cannot interpret before the connection crackles and is broken.

Several years later, from a taxi, you will see someone in a doorway who looks like her, but she will be gone by the time you persuade the driver to stop. You will never see her again. Whenever it rains you will think of her.
” ~ Neil Gaiman

I took a few days off from blogging and everything else just in case you missed me, LOL! I was under the weather so to speak but I’m feeling much better and with a douse of some R&B, this girl’s ready to go again. During this period of convalescents, I can honestly say that the Richardson, Texas weather has been just marvelous and it definitely helped me with this speedy recovery. I am going to try publishing two posts tonight. My second post is a request from a Google friend, so most definitely, I'm going to give it a Diana effort.

My first post for this evening is appropriately based on one’s internal barometer or titled “No More Rain(2) which was originally release back in 1999 and sung by Angie Stone. Her music is straight up a traditional R&B genre. I am, also, including a second video titled “Wish I Didn’t Miss You(3) which was initially release in 2001.

I do hope the bug has not nipped you’re backside like it did me and that you’re having a blessed evening or morning. I cannot get used to the fact that some folks are eight hours ahead or behind. I hope you enjoy this music as much as I do it’s classic.Thank you for your continued support. Remember music is a language and these are my thoughts tonight.

Peace and Love always

"SOS" by the Sexy Rhianna for Half Naked Twerking Gyrations #MUSICVIDEO

Source-Instagram-user-badgalriri (1)
Today like every day, I looked for material I could post. I was telling my friends Tammy Cook and Wanda Wing that I was grateful that my son decided to spend the week with his girlfriend. I know he was sure that I was upset but I was jumping around in my undies. Don’t tell him.

Well, the long and short is that he showed back up today. No worries, I love his company any day of the week! So I won’t be jumping around in my undies… :))) I am still going to smile, Tammy.

However, I am still going to post the music that I intended on using to expedite all this jumping around. The video was originally shared with me by Wanda Wing. The song is titled “SOS(2) sung by the beautiful and sensual Rihanna no less.

So just envision my twerking gyrations half naked to this HOT song and dance along…LOL! That is especially for Steven Sucher…absolutely no videos friend!!

Peace Diana

Painter Gerald Marsland w/"Gabriel FAURE': Pavane, Op. 50" #Musicvideo #ArtistInterview #DianaMarySharpton

Storm Brewing over Derwent Water (1)
Everything you can imagine is real.” ~ Pablo Picasso

This presentation is featuring an amazing, brilliant and gifted painter, Gerald Marsland, and his works of art. Tonight, I am featuring one of his beautiful paintings titled “Storm Brewing over Derwent Water(1). When you examine this artwork, take your time, because there are an infinite number of hidden details. Notice how Gerald captures light, the time of day and the weather. The particulars are incredible as Gerald states it so impressible "In the bottom right corner, in the trees, there is a marquee. There was a wedding. It poured down. It made a very dramatic scene, but poor guests!" It’s just breathtaking and magical! I am adding a couple of pieces that Gerald has shared: The River Arun, Sussex; Oil on canvas 18" x 24" titled "Water ways Exhibition 2007"(2) and A view of the North Norfolk Coast nr Wells; Oil on canvas 20" x 30" titled "17"(3).
Water ways Exhibition 2007 (2)
The music I am going to include is one of Gerald’s suggested favorites. He likes to listen to these soothing vibrations as painting his masterpieces. I can clearly see why! The music is titled “Gabriel FAURE': Pavane, Op. 50 - Paintings By "CLAUDE MONET" (4) produced by Andrew Grumman.

"Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis #MUSICVIDEO

Leona Lewis (1)
We are officially into fall 2013 and spring for those folks in the lower half of the world like Argentina. Two of my favorite times the year. I had a wonderful week-end how about you? After a lovely rain, Richardson, Texas was just beautiful, fresh and slightly warm! I thrive off of this type of weather.

I also investigated the singer in my last post and found out she was none other than Leona Lewis. I just knew it wasn’t Roberta Flack as speculated by some of my friends. Leona sings the song much better, there I said it! I just had to buy the album titled “Spirit” and along with her amazing rendition of “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”, which I have listened to more than one hundred times, there was a world of beautiful sound that I am still ascertaining.

Leona has a marvelous way in trilling her voice that you just want to hear over and over. At least I did. So tonight I am going to feature one of her songs out of this album titled “Bleeding Love(2) where this trill is very apparent.

I hope you enjoy this music as much I do and I pray that your evening or morning is blessed and filled with positive images and or situations.

Peace Diana

Leona Lewis "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" #LoveOfMyLife #MUSICVIDEO #DianaMarySharpton

New Love (1)

Love is ageless and colorless. It is a spiritual force that binds two hearts and two souls together as one.”
Ellen J. Barrier

I will never forget the cup of coffee we had that early morning and then there was that kiss. It reached deep grabbing a hold of my soul.

In celebration of new love at whatever age, I have selected Leona Lewis singing brilliantly "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face"(2) as my featured artist.

Leona Lewis is a British singer, songwriter that got her start as a winner of The X Factor in 2006. Her genre is Pop, R&B, and soul. This video was publish on YouTube Feb 6, 2010 by Connie K. I have also added the lyrics below for your reading pleasure.

"The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face"(3)
The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were the gifts you gave
To the dark and the empty skies

The first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth move in my hands
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command my love

The first time ever I lay with you
I felt your heart so close to mine
And I knew our joy would fill the Earth
And last, and last, and last till the end of time
The first time ever I saw your face
Your face
Your face
Your face

I pray you are having a brilliant day or evening. Remember music is a language and these are my those tonight.

Peace and Love Always

"Ready to Love Again" by Lady Antebellum #MUSICVIDEO #DianaMarySharpton

Man-kissing-teasing-woman-over-coffee (1)

When you remain present to the goal at hand, you become ready to receive a powerful gift.”

― Andra Brynna Goeglein

Hello all, what a morning. I got up at 5 a.m. to see a sun rise; however, to my disappointment it remained overcast. A little bit of funk crept in. You see it has been overcast for days and I need the suns rays to keep it balanced.

The fun thing today is that my children are taking me to a belated birthday lunch. After swimming this morning, I am hungry. So, to stick to my diet, I think "Olive Garden" would be a good choice for their amazing soup and salad.

Then I am going back to the gym. I need to do the walking and sit-up thing. One of my goals for this summer is to get down weight wise and the other is … well go check out my "2017 Summer Goals" and add not just talking but present. Ha! Ha!

The group I am featuring is a huge favorite, Lady Antebellum and the song is titled “Ready to Love Again(2). Remember, I love hearing from you, one way or another and I hope this music resonates with you as much it did with me. Have a great evening. Uploaded to YouTube by Amy Wong on Jul 7, 2010.

The genre is Country tonight!I am adding the lyrics for your reading pleasure.

Ready to Love Again” (3)
Seems I was walking in the wrong direction
I barely recognize my own reflection
Oh, scared of love but scared of life alone

Seems I've been playing on the safe side baby
Building walls around my heart to save me
Oh, but it's time for me to let it go

Yeah I'm ready to feel now
No longer am I afraid of the fall down
It must be time to move on now
Without the fear of how it might end
I guess I'm ready to love again

Just when we think that love will never find you
You've run away but still it's right behind you
Oh, it's just something that we can't control

Yeah I'm ready to feel now
No longer am I afraid of the fall down
It must be time to move on now
Without the fear of how it might end
I guess I'm ready to love again

So come and find me
I'll be waiting up for you
I'll be holding out for you tonight

Yeah I'm ready to feel now
No longer am I afraid of the fall down
It must be time to move on now
Without the fear of how it might end
I guess I'm ready
Ready to love again

Oh, I'm ready to love "you" again

Peace Diana

"Sad Sad World" by Jamie Cullum fte Laura Mvula #LetsSmile #LetsDance #MUSICVIDEO #DianaMarySharpton

Dancing (1)

Why be alone when we can be together baby
You can make my life worthwhile
And I can make you start to smile”

― Mr. Big

My last video for this evening is by an artist that is new to me as well. I found him listening to all of Laura Mvula's music. The artist is Jamie Cullum and the title of the song is "Sad Sad World fte. Laura Mvula"(2).

I am adding the lyrics below for your reading pleasure.

"Sad, Sad World" (3)
So let it fall
When it meets you on the other side baby
Let it fall
We're all prisoners in a simple mind baby
Let it fall
You can grip my arm to pass the time baby
Let it fall, yeah

Will you help me paint a smile
On this sad, sad world
Will you help me paint a smile
On this sad, sad world

Your lashes dancing making my aching heart sing
The lights are flashing stirring up all this feeling
My hands are burning every time I'm touching your face
Let me surround you with all the love that you deserve
The dawn'll tell you of everything that you are worth
The blood it runs through everything we know of our fate

So let it fall
When it meets you on the other side baby
Let it fall
We're all prisoners in a simple mind baby
Let it fall
You can grip my arm to pass the time baby
Let it fall, yeah

Will you help me paint a smile
On this sad, sad world
Will you help me paint a smile
On this sad, sad world

So will you help me paint a smile
On this sad, sad world
So come and help me paint a smile

On this sad, sad world

Peace Diana

I am ready... I miss you

Sizzling Hot Iggy Azalea "Change Your Life fte. TI"

Iggy Azalea (1)
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I went and got my hair colored (Karrie Latimer) and that hook up set me my head straight. She has skills and can transform!! I love going to the “Color and Cuts” salon, in Garland, Texas, there is always chit chat about this and that.

Today, I heard about this young Rap singer from Australia. Her stage name is Iggy Azalea and the song I am going to feature tonight is titled “Change Your Life fte TI"(2). This little lady is HOT and the video with TI is sizzling. Watch out Miley Cyrus!

I have another post from talk at the salon so I am going to cut this intro short. I do want to thank everyone that has shown me so much love and support.

Peace Diana

Up & Coming Jada-Marie "I Care 4 You"

Jada-Marie (1)
I am going to introduce two music posts tonight. My first, this one, is to introduce a young beautiful up and coming R&B singer. You know how much I love to feature unknown songs and or artists. This young lady is not quite established. I am still trying to find out more background information on her. I can tell you the following and please let’s show a grand Google support effort and share my post to as many people possible.

Her stage name is Jada-Marie and the song I am featuring is titled “I Care 4 You (Tribute to Aaliyah from Jada-Marie)”(2).

Her website is
Twitter is @jadamarieonline.

I picked this voice only video because it tells me two things, one, she has an amazing range and trill and two; she can sing classic R&B with true soul and sensuality. She does not have a professionally produced video yet, but looks like it won't be long.

Peace Diana

Richard Clayderman-Ballade pour Adeline #Instrumental #Gentleness #Passion #TalkToMe #MusicVideo #DianaMarySharpton

Richard Clayerman (1)

She is free in her wildness, she is a wanderess, a drop of free water. She knows nothing of borders and cares nothing for rules or customs. 'Time' for her isn’t something to fight against. Her life flows clean, with passion, like fresh water.”

― Roman Payne

I need a glass of some good wine (Clos du Bois Chardonnay 2012) and a magnificently talented French pianist to set my head straight. The artist I am talking about has the ability to bring the piano to life, sink sound into your mind and take you on that journey through space and time. Okay, that is a little bit of the wine speaking but really, Richard Clayerman is unquestionably the most passionate pianist I have ever had the pleasure of hearing.

The video I am going to present is a French instrumental titled “Ballade pour Adeline(2). Composed in 1976 by Paul de Senneville and Olivier Toussaint as a tribute to Paul de Senneville's his newborn daughter, Adeline. The first recording was by Richard Clayderman and world-wide sales now have reached 22 million copies in 38 countries. It remains Clayderman's signature hit and is stunningly gently and passionate at the same time. This music makes you want to write in French!

C'est magnifique comme la rupture de l'aube après une pluie de printemps lourd et glorieux comme la perspective de votre enfant en train de naître. Comme vous pouvez le voir la musique de cet homme m'excite juste (i.e. English version "It’s magnificent like the break of dawn after a heavy spring rain, glorious like the prospect of your child being born and passionate as the gentle touch from your lover. As you can see this man’s brilliant musical talent thrills me")

This was fun for me and it helped expunge myself from the last couple of post.

Peace Diana

Naked Miley Cyrus Drops "Wrecking Ball"

miley-cyrus-by-mert-marcus-for-w-magazine-march-2014 (1)
Everyone knows I am a huge fan of sensuality and then there is Miley Cyrus… well she is really trying to be the shock factor of the moment but so far is missing that very point. She does have beautiful eyes and in this video she is naked. Anyway, I have to feature her new song that dropped today titled “Wrecking Ball(2) because this is what I love to do. I love the shock fact as well.

I believe she would gain more traction, in the longview, if she fired her video producer and hired someone that would actually deliver a vision that enhances her in a softer, classier and more sensual light. By the way, soft, classy and sensual can still have a shock factor if done right. She just doesn’t have the type of body, other than being young, that has a va va voom sexuality that can get away with stupid, strictly an opinion… but there it is!

She sings great and the lyrics are solid…It’s the videos that are absolutely crazy….so far!

Peace Diana

Cups (Pitch Perfect's "When I'm Gone") Anna Kendrick #Musicvideo #DianaMarySharpton

Anna Kendrick (1)
I believe that when a woman is given the chance to come to the defense of another woman, that is an opportunity that she should take in behalf of not only that woman; but in behalf of herself and all other women, everywhere. Men don't have low opinions of women because women are sluts and whores; but men have low opinions of women because they see how women compete with one another, pull one another down in order to rise above and backbite one another endlessly. There are men who have low opinions of women because of how women treat other women. They see that and they think, "What kind of a species can do that to their own species?" So if you really want the guy, why not get him by showing him what a true friend you are to your girlfriends? Or by showing him how happy you are for the good fortune of another woman and how much you admire her? And if he doesn't appreciate that then he doesn't deserve you! I know we've got a long, long way to go before we change the way our gender treats one another; but it's got to start somewhere and I suggest we start right now.”
― C. JoyBell C.

It is sad that women do not make it a priority to support other women. It is as prevelent in the workplace as it is in a kindigarten court yard. It hurts!

First, I think it is important to thank everyone that responded the poem I posted yesterday title “A Smile” and inspired by a Tammy Cook. It was so overwhelming and wonderful…thank you again from the bottom of my heart and soul.

Second, I was watching VH1 this morning, yes, I am an avid fan and the video being presented this evening caught my attentio. I love the light hearted spirit it reflects in the theme. It is a theme song to the movie Cups.

The movie synopsis is as follows:
College student Beca (Anna Kendrick) knows she does not want to be part of a clique, but that's exactly where she finds herself after arriving at her new school. Thrust in among mean gals, nice gals and just plain weird gals, Beca finds that the only thing they have in common is how well they sing together. She takes the women of the group out of their comfort zone of traditional arrangements and into a world of amazing harmonic combinations in a fight to the top of college music competitions.

The point of the song is that Beca (Anna Kendrick) tried to make a fun environment in her work place and all the time dreaming about a life that would bring her happiness.

The song I am going to feature tonight is titled “Cups (Pitch Perfect's "When I'm Gone")
(2). The artist is Anna Kendrick. Have a great evening.

I got my ticket for the long way ‘round
Two bottle ‘a whiskey for the way
And I sure would like some sweet company
And I’m leaving tomorrow, wha-do-ya say?

When I’m gone
When I’m gone
You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone
You’re gonna miss me by my hair
You’re gonna miss me everywhere, oh
You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone

I’ve got my ticket for the long way ‘round
The one with the prettiest of views
It’s got mountains, it’s got rivers, it’s got sights to give you shivers
But it sure would be prettier with you

When I’m gone
When I’m gone
You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone
You’re gonna miss me by my walk
You’re gonna miss me by my talk, oh

You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone

Peace Diana
