Introduction:
The theme of this post is about the holiday season, joy, love and laughter with family, friends and what it ultimately brings to us all. Happy Holiday Season! My featured guest this Friday evening is a brilliant inspirational artist, painter, photographer, all around funny, charismatic and talented guy.

In his own words:

I have been drawing and painting for almost 50 years now starting with that first box of Crayola 64 crayons I received when I was five years old. Over the years I experimented with pencils, markers, pastels, oils, acrylics, inks, and mixed media. I steered clear of watercolor after one failed attempt when I was in High School. Not having the patience to wait for drying of oil paints I leaned more towards Acrylic. About 25 years ago I started learning to airbrush and added that to my repertoire. You can see the heavy airbrush influence and use throughout many of my recent “realistic” paintings. Recently I have experimented with Mixed Media and abstract art as a way to satisfy my creative hunger for something “not so realistic” in nature. Along with that, I have decided that I am going to revisit watercolor’s and try to teach myself this beautiful and free flowing Genre of art. With any luck I will have watercolor art available by the first of the year.

My artwork and painting inspiration comes primarily from nature. I enjoy drawing and painting wildlife and domestic animals as well as landscape. Some of my paintings take the realistic for a ride to the fantasy side. My style seems to be that of an adventure from one genre to another. Maybe… if I ever grow up… I’ll know just what “kind of artist” I want to be. In the meantime though I will continue to use and experiment with whatever materials will start and keep my creative juices flowing”.

So, without further ado, let me introduce, to the brilliant, Darren RobinsonVendor manager for a national inspection company by day and Artist superhero by night. Although, just recently met Darren on Google +, I would say his introduction line is right on point “I enjoy Painting, Riding, Good Friends, Good Wine, and Great Conversation”. He has a amazing sense of humor which brings the light into a dark day.

The littlest Christmas tree,
lived in a meadow of green,
Among a family,
of tall evergreens,
He learned how to whisper,
the evergreen song,
with the slightest of wind,
that came ..........
