Carl Thomas's “Summer Rain” #MakeLove #Dancing #Sunset #MUSICVIDEO #DianaMarySharpton

Woman with umbrella rain (1)

Introduction:

Love like rain, can nourish from above, drenching couples with a soaking joy. But sometimes under the angry heat of life, love dries on the surface and must nourish from below, tending to its roots keeping itself alive.”

― Paulo Coelho

Today’s sensational sound comes via Carl Thomas a singer and songwriter from Aurora, Illinois, U.S. and the song has an R&B music genre. The song came out as a single in 2000 and it is listed in his album titled “Emotional”.

Summer Rain”(2) is the title of the song.  The video was publised on YOUTUBE, Aug 15, 2010 by XclusiveCityFair warning the video is sensual and very hot! I have added the lyrics below for reading enjoyment.

Summer Rain
Storming outside, rain
She keeps me home
Quiet conversation makes me warm
So

Summer rain
Whispers me to sleep
And wakes me up again
Sometimes I swear I hear her call my name
To wash away the pain
My summer rain

In the middle of the night when I'm alone
I feel her kisses on me even when she's gone
Can't wait 'till she gets home

Summer rain
Whispers me to sleep
And wakes me up again
Sometimes I swear I hear her call my name
To wash away the pain
My summer rain

I don't mind if it rains forever
Let it rain, rain, let it rain
I said I don't mind if it rains forever
Let it rain, rain, let it rain

So go ahead and make it rain
You bring the sunshine back again
So go ahead and make it rain
Your tender touches wash away my rain

Summer rain
Whispers me to sleep
And wakes me up again
Sometimes I swear I hear her call my name
To wash away the pain
My summer rain

Summer rain
Whispers me to sleep
And wakes me up again
Sometimes I swear I hear her call my name
To wash away the pain
My summer rain

So go ahead and make it rain
You bring the sunshine back again
So go ahead and make it rain
Your tender touches wash away my rain

So go ahead and make it rain
You bring the sunshine back again
So go ahead and make it rain
Your tender touches wash away my rain

Summer rain
Whispers me to sleep
And wakes me up again
Sometimes I swear I hear her call my name
To wash away the pain
My summer rain

Thank you for your continued support. I pray you are having a blessed evening or morning. Remember music is my language and these are my thoughts tonight.

Peace and Love Always Diana

Hamilton Pool Nature Preserve & Krause Springs, Texas #GETAWAY #TEXAS

Hamilton Pool © copywrite by DMS Photography (1)
Introduction:
Hamilton Pool © copywrite by DMS Photography (2)
My plan this weekend was to leave for Austin, Texas, on Friday, March 28, 2014 and check out Hamilton Pool Nature Preserve and Krause Springs which is about 45 minutes outside of the Austin city limits and along the way visit with my daughter and granddaughter. Once packed and ready, I realized it was way too late to leave that evening plus I love my bed and it was calling my name, after a long hard workweek… LOL!

So, the adventure started, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at five am, after I picked up a large coffee for this three to four hour trip to Austin, Texas. The plan was to stop by my daughter’s apartment, drop off my belongings and pick up my passengers (i.e. daughter and granddaughter). The first focus was Hamilton Pool Nature Reserve. I wanted to get there earlier than later and heed the advice given to me by a fellow google plus Texan so as not to wait in line all morning or even take a chance of getting turned away because the park was full.

Hamilton Pool Nature Preserve: We arrived at the reserve around 9:30 am and did not have to wait long. The reserve does close at 6:00 pm, 24300 Hamilton Pool Rd., Dripping Springs, Texas, 78620 and there is limited parking, no fishing, mountain biking, camping, dogs, cooking and/or fires permitted. They only take cash or checks and the checks need to be local. It costs $15 per car load which is an excellent price for all the fun and adventure that actually took place. Via appointment, there are tours offered and there are restroom facilities, at the top and bottom of the mountain. Remember there is “NO” water. Visitors will have to walk down a steep, rocky mountain path to the pool area and back up when leaving. I recommend that you wear walking boots or tennis shoes and not sandals. The pool area is absolutely stunning and swimming is allowed which even on this cool morning people were jumping in.
Blue Bonnets©copywrite by DMS Photography (1)
Hamilton Pool Nature Preserve-History: The preserve consists of 232 acres of protected natural habitat and features a jade green pool into which a 50-foot waterfall flows. It is important to note that the Austin area, which includes the hill country, is currently undergoing a sever draught and you could see this in waterfall flow. The pool was formed long ago by the collapse of a large cave into Hamilton Creek and is surrounded by huge slabs of limestone.(1)

We left around noon and had lunch at “Bert & Ernie’s General Store”. A favorite biker’s hangout and they serve a fabulous hamburger, 18710 Hamilton Pool Rd., Austin, Texas, 78738.  After that strenuous hike up the mountain, lunch and a needed rest, we took off, found highway 71, and decided to drive to Krause Springs, 404 Krause Spring Rd, Spicewood, Texas, 78669.

Krause Springs-History:  Founded in 1955, it is a privately owned and operated camping and swimming site. This was also a recommendation by a fellow Texans on my original “Hamilton Pool” post. It is a well-known camping and swimming, off the Cypress Creek and deep in Texas Hill Country. (2)

Krause Springs: Our experience was amazing due to the stunning natural beauty of the pool and camp grounds; however, I would urge that it be a full day or overnight camping and swimming excursion verses a couple hours hang out. The price is $7 per person cash or local check.

Lake Austin, a water reservoir on the Colorado River, was the last place we visited and this was primarily because it was on the way. The area of the reservoir where we ended up was below the Tom Miller Dam and this is where we met some friends. To say the least, it was a long, amazing Saturday day and I would recommend each place as a full day adventure vs. my whirlwind tour…!!!

Eyes #POETRY #CHANCE INCOUNTERS #LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

Eyes
My body is pressed against the wall,
Grabbing a corner to steady a potential fall,
Breathless, I catch your stare on me,
And smell the ooze from your masculinity.

Immediately, I don’t know what to do,
Squirm about as a woman who’s lost her cool.
Like the thief caught stealing someone else’s shoes,
Or an owl shrieking to an intrusion; explicit whooos!

Nothing’s spoken in air heavy yet calm,
And my heart races in spiked emotional alarm.
I turn to receive the rest of the room,
And then back where your eyes continue to loom.

You’re a formidable man, this I can see,
Rugged, individualistic from a world that’s “Duty Free”!
You take what’s desired and within reach,
Which scares the crap out me, yet my interest peeks.

In confidence, you step to me in a firm advance,
As a breath escapes and my mind goes blank.
Slowly sipping on that glass of white wine,
I look up to accept your eyes diving into mine...

John Legend in "Tonight" (1)

I don't ask you to love me always like this but I ask you to remember. Somewhere inside of me there will always be the person I am tonight.

― F. Scott Fitzgerald

All I can say is Oh Yeah!! John Legend and his to hot video titled “Tonight (Best You Ever Had) ft. Ludacris(2)

I am listing the lyrics below for your reading pleasure.

"Tonight (Best You Ever Had)" (3)
(feat. Ludacris)

Ah, alright.

Ain't this what you came for
Don't you wish you came, oh
Girl what you're playing for
Ah, come on
Come on, let me kiss that
Ooh, I know you miss that
What's wrong, let me fix that
Twist that

Baby, tonight's the night I let you know
Baby, tonight's the night we lose control
Baby, tonight you need that, tonight believe that
Tonight I'll be the best you ever had

I don't wanna brag, but I'll be
The best you ever had

I don't wanna brag, but I'll be
The best you ever had

I hit you with the best stroke,
Freestyle and the breaststroke
Til you blow a cigarette smoke
And now the bed's broke
So what we gon' do now
Fuck it, round two now
Work it out, then we cool down
Cool down

Baby, tonight's the night I let you know
Baby, tonight's the night we lose control
Baby, tonight you need that, tonight believe that
Tonight I'll be the best you ever had
I don't wanna brag, but I'll be
The best you ever had

I don't wanna brag, but I'll be
The best you ever had

[Ludacris Rap Verse]
Luda, listen...
You ain't even gotta text me
Knowin' me and you got that mental telepathy
Meet me up at the spot,
I'll be sending over the chauffeur
Rich nigga bread, stay poppin' up like a toaster
Nobody come close to me and you together
Step under my umbrella, we’ll make it through any weather
Except when I make it storm, sex in the greatest form
And hibernate under my body
Yep I keep it warmer than a chinchilla
She know I beat it up like the thriller in Manila
Flying my private jet to villas in Anguilla
Than throw you on a grill
Cause seven days a week you’re my 5 course meal
For real!

Baby, tonight's the night I let you know
Baby, tonight's the night we lose control
Baby, tonight you need that, tonight believe that
Tonight I'll be the best you ever had

I don't wanna brag, but I'll be
The best you ever had

I don't wanna brag, but I'll be

The best you ever had

Tyler, Texas / the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens #WEEKEND #GETAWAY #DianaMarySharpton w/EUROPA - Santana #MusicVideo

Tyler© copywrite by DMS Photography

Introduction:

Not all those who wander are lost.”
― J.R.R. Tolkien

Tyler© copywrite by DMS Photography
On spring break, I took a day trip to Tyler, Texas. Driving it is about an hour and half from Richardson, Texas. It was overcast, however with great music as my companion, I was in heaven. The main purpose of this travel was to see the city’s famous rose and azalea trails. Tyler is known as the “Rose Capital of the World”. Well what a disappointment, all the blooms appeared to have been frozen in the prior week’s ice storm and there was not a flower in sight.

Friends  Made© copywrite by DMS Photography
A little background and history on Tyler, it is located in East Texas in the Smith County seat, pine tree country and straight up I 20 from “Big D”. In addition its rose and flower tourists industry Tyler is a mecca for higher education institutions which include the University of Texas at Tyler and the University of Texas Health Center at Tyler, both part of the University of Texas System, Tyler Junior College, and Texas College (1). I did get some pictures of historic downtown and some interesting gentlemen; veterans protesting American’s continued military involvement in Afghanistan.

Spring Collection by My Featured Guest - Distinguished Painter Gerald Marsland & "The Painter" #PAINTING #ART #POETRY #DianaMarySharpton

"Misty Sunrise, Oulton Broad" (1)
Introduction
Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.”
Leonardo da Vinci

Good afternoon! It has been a minute since the last post, maybe two (LOL!) and a much longer time frame since I had a painter as a featured guest. This afternoon’s guest is a gentleman from Norfolk, England and a brilliant award winning painter. Gerald Marsland is a self-taught traditionalist. His genre is landscape/seascape painting which incorporates elements like climate, light, shadow, emotion and fluidity having components of impressionism, romanticism and realism.

"The River Wyr at Bakewell" (2)
Awards
‘Best Painting’ – Eastern Open 2004
‘Most Popular Picture’ – Eastern Open 2005
‘Most Popular Painting’ – South Holland Open 2010

Words directly from Gerald Marsland:
“As a painter of landscapes and seascapes, I try to raise people’s awareness of the natural beauty that surrounds us. With awareness comes care. The more people care about their surroundings; the world will be a better place. I try not to just reproduce what I see, but try to paint the feeling, the emotion and the atmosphere of the scene something a photographer cannot portray”.
Gerald Marsland (3)

My thoughts:
I met Gerald and his beautiful partner, Susannah Hutchinson (writer and chief), on Facebook and consider them both dear friends. His work is stunning and it captures the most intricate details like temperature, atmosphere and weather. I wrote a poem titled “The Painter” in an effort to visualize my friends’ painting process. Bear in mind that when I originally wrote this poem, it was at the beginning of fall and this presentation is about Gerald’s spring painting collection, the process is all the same just a bit warmer now!

"The River Duddon, near Seathwaite, Cumbria"(4)
The Painter
Its fall, already chilly, at a season’s bequest,
Exhalation radiates steam, alike a wintery breath.
A saving grace there’s little or no breeze,
That’ll nip at one’s hands, face and knees.

I love the innocuous disposition of this natural pest.
It allows solitude and meandering peacefulness.

Not blistering as a summer solstice’s diurnal,
Or unkind alike a shrubland biome’s wintery infernal.

I coin images, depictions in paint, an inward aim and persistent try.
It’s the flurry, brilliance or even silence captured by one’s eye.
Sound envelops in echoes, time pauses as a deep gasp ventilates,
Music transfixes a relaxed mind, yet fades quietly and capitulates.

Regardless, of what weather transcends in the open-air,
Work continues marked by secret delight and intrinsic flare.
So at last, the task that has made it to a final conclusion,
It depicts interpretation of my own personal illusion.

"Spring" #POETRY #SPRING #REBIRTH w/Kenny Chesney "Setting the World On Fire" #MusicVideo #DianaMarySharpton

BIRTH_OF_SPRING_lorraineadalvare-(1)
Introduction:
If people did not love one another, I really don't see what use there would be in having any spring.”

― Victor Hugo

Spring
Spring emerged from obscurity today,
However reluctant; authentic, all the same,
As she crosses a meandering bridge,
Hurling letdown; seized in prophetic privilege.

She forces, Sun’s vacation to quickly end,
I for one have missed this dear old friend,
And she’ll raise the devils hell; in the next month or two,
Tossing wind, rain o'er akin to a bullied victim played the fool!

Grass, leaves, flowers, scream praise as life reforms,
Attempts to unwind goes array amid these April storms,
Summer touches her with intensity under brilliance of a full moon,
And her rage calms to an evening dip in water with warmth that cools.

She arrives with force to wake the land from its winter slumber,
I look forward to cordiality formed; when spring meets her summer.

To accompany my poem I have selected a country song titled "Kenny Chesney - Setting the World On Fire"(2). It was published on YouTube Sep 15, 2016 by KennyChesneyVEVO. I have also listed lyrics for your reading pleasure.

"Setting the World On Fire"(3)
Yeah we got drunk on La Cienega Boulevard
Taking pictures of people we thought were stars
It’s easy to give in to your heart
When you’re drunk on La Cienega Boulevard
When the song comin' out of the speakers
Was the band that you had on your t-shirt
We were screamin' cause all the streets were empty
And you kissed me, and we were

Up all night and we were feelin' so good
Yeah, we got a little higher than we probably should
We were in a hotel singin' in the hallway lights
We were strikin' the matches right down to the ashes
Setting the world on fire, setting the world on fire

Wrote I love you in lipstick on the mirror
We were shoutin' out the window, like they could hear us at the pier
Said "Do you think we’ll live forever?"
As we killed another beer
And you wrote I love you in lipstick on the mirror
We were laughin' until we were breathless
Never felt anything so reckless, we were all lit up and restless
And coming alive and we were

Up all night and we were feelin' so good
Yeah, we got a little higher than we probably should
We were in a hotel singin' in the hallway lights
We were strikin' the matches right down to the ashes
Setting the world on fire, setting the world on fire

Up all night and we were feelin' so good
Yeah, we got a little higher than we probably should
We were in a hotel singin' in the hallway lights
We were strikin' the matches right down to the ashes
Setting the world on fire, setting the world on fire

World all on fire
We were setting
The world all on fire
We were setting
The world all on fire

World all on fire

Thank your continued support and I pray your day or evening is marvelous.
Love and Peace Always Diana
