“Choose to listen to your inner voice, not the jumbled opinions of everyone else. Do what you know in your heart is right for YOU. It’s your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you. And be sure to appreciate every day of your life.” — Melchor Lim
I’m in a peripheral dream state,
my hands cannot touch it,
nor can these eyes define it,
but my spirit can certainly feel it.
And you’re here…
with an intoxicating smile,
which catches me on fire.
it’s like the layers in age,
existing now yet mislaid,
lost in spring’s infidelity,
yet renascent to fall’s finality.
It’s our place…
And I find my way, now,
here and there somehow.
It’s where we dance in joy or cry in pain,
as bodies transcend onto a spherical plane,
and I breathe warmth from your soul’s flesh,
drunken by the tenderness in your caress.
It’s that place…
it neither defines us,
nor misalignes us,
it’s where you can find us,
from time to time…
