Introduction
“The life of Man is a long march through the night, surrounded by invisible foes, tortured by weariness and pain, towards a goal that few can hope to reach, and where none may tarry long. One by one, as they march, our comrades vanish form our sight, seized by the silent orders of omnipotent Death. Very brief is the time in which we can help them, in which their happiness or misery is decided. Be it ours to shed sunshine on their path, to lighten their sorrows by the balm of sympathy, to give them the pure joy of a never-tiring affection, to strengthen failing courage, to instill faith in times of despair.” ~ Bertrand Russell

Mondays always seem to be difficult for me but it is over and I am enjoying some great old school music. It is the kind of music that will enter the soul and “gently” sooth the jagged edges, like a midnight lover who knows what to do! All I know is that you can’t stop it from raining or the sun from shinning, what is meant to happen will happen, so take it easy on your friends or loved ones. Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do? Love and support them? Just saying….

"Poor Side of Town" is sung and written by Johnny Rivers and was the B-Side of a single released in 1966 which reached No.1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and on the RPM Canadian Chart in November of the same year. This song is considered a rock and roll/pop-soul style with folk elements and was a change in Johnny’s musical style; type cast as “Go-Go” in those days.

It is the longer version of the song and I have attached the verse for your reading pleasure.

Whoosh!!! It is all just perfect and right! The video was uploaded on YOUTUBE, Dec 28, 2009 by 2inspiremedia.

"Poor Side Of Town"
Do-doo-doo-wah shoo-be-doo-be
Do-doo-doo-wah shoo-be-doo-be

How can you tell me
How much you miss me
When the last time I saw you
You wouldn't even kiss me

That rich guy you've been seein'
Must have put you down
So welcome back baby
To the poor side of town

To him you were nothin'
But a little plaything (was a plaything, doo wah)
Not much more than
An overnight fling (overnight fling, doo wah)

To me you were the greatest thing
This boy had ever found
And girl it's hard to find nice things
On the poor side of town

I can't blame you for tryin'
I'm tryin' to make it too
I've got one little hang up, baby
I just can't make it without you (without you, without you)

So tell me
Are you gonna stay now (will you stay now, doo wah)
Will you stand by me girl
All the way now (all the way now, doo wah)

With you by my side
They can't keep us down
Together we can make it baby
From the poor side of town

(So tell me how much you love me)
(Come be near to me and say you need me now)

Oh, with you by my side
This world can't keep us down
Together we can make it baby
From the poor side of town

Do-doo-doo-wah shoo-be-doo-be
Do-doo-doo-wah shoo-be-doo-be
Do-doo-doo-wah shoo-be-doo-be

Thank you for your continued support. I pray you are having a blessed evening or morning.
Peace and Love Always Diana
