The Quiet in My Heart #POETRY #LOVE #CONFLICT #REUNITED & Freddie Jackson-You Are My Lady Lyrics #MUSICVIDEO #DianaMarySharpton

This poem was written and published almost a year ago. Inspired by my son’s tumultuous love affair with a beautiful hot headed young woman, it tries to capture the agony he experienced in her rejection which at the end of the day affected the entire family. Please know that in my humble opinion, love has many directions. One must listen to the heart to find the right one.

The epilogue:
He finally let her go, after about six month’s she returned and he let her back into his heart as we all did. Two weeks ago, he asked to marry her and she accepted. I guess now I will be a second time grandmother. It is interesting how love guides us to our destiny, when we truly believe. My son is in love, he believed in his heart and now is the ruler of his life. I celebrate this strong union which at the end of the day I can say they never disrespected one another or shut the door and it was their strong friendship and love that ultimately saved the relationship. Saludos to LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, DESIRE AND PASSION!!!

For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.” ~ Judy Garland

The Quiet in My Heart
We were fine, so why, crash out of my life, today?
Callously, destroying the quiet in my heart, I must say.
I can’t breathe, my mind is racing with panic and dread.
Existence alones’ failing me; out loud it’s never said.

I adore you! I am a good man, can’t you see?
Why can’t you feel this way about me?
I dried your tears as they ran down your face,
and took you into my home, gave you love and space.

I cherished your body, mind, and soul,
You are my earth! Together, we were supposed to grow old!
I always relented promoting your joy; countering my strife,
least, a tiny argument sparked the explosion, bouncing you right out my life.

You did this so many times; I started believing your lies,
that it was me not you, like the honey bowl full of dead flies.
I had no room, daring not to move or talk at all,
because at the end of the day; it was your rules and your call!

Maybe tomorrow, I will decide it’s time to shut this door,
For my souls fatigued, confused; perhaps detaching as I mourn.
