R.E.M. - Strange Currencies #Musicvideo #DianaMarySharpton #DMS

Introduction:
Can you hold a red-hot iron rod in your hand merely because someone wants you to do so? Then, will it be right on your part to ask others to do the same thing just to satisfy your desires? If you cannot tolerate infliction of pain on your body or mind by others' words and actions, what right have you to do the same to others through your words and deeds?

Do unto others as you would like to be done by. Injury or violence done by you to any life in any form, animal or human, is as harmful as it would be if caused to your own self.” ~ Mahavira.

(I tend to believe in forgiveness without benefit. It humbles one’s spirit and resolves anger ~ DMS)

I feel powerful today or maybe the word is worthy, appreciated, included and needed at work… I am starting to love my job! Also, I continue to lose weight so I feel good about the changes I have been making.  All of which are baby steps.

Happiness is a choice and fixing those things that bother you is also a choice, therefore I am a “Work – in – Progress” so to speak. I wish for more but I am grateful for my life, my health, a good job, a son and daughter-in-law that loves me and a grandbaby on the way.

I grateful that my images are selling and that the “RoundTeam” twitter fiasco is over with. I understand their move. It’s called “revenue stream stabilization/retention”. The incentive is to have their customer base stick to the current plan vs. the on and off movement from pay to free choices which leads to nothing that can be capitalized when seeking potential investors… Theoretically the penalty is less value and/or higher prices if this behavior is perpetuated…

We shall see. On a personal note, I will never pay more for less value especially if the choice does not net me a profit on a monthly basis. So, I am glad they did not change my subscription and/or its value as they have done so for so many others. I would just have had to bite the bullet and go "Free" because in reality there is no profit stream for me as a photographer.

I predict that a smart tech will come along and blow them out of the water soon enough because frankly they have not thought this through. The customer uses this service for sales/profits and if you start killing someone’s profits guess what happens.

My featured artist this evening is the brilliant group that goes by ~ R.E.M and the song is fresh and sensual to me, just like I like it. It is titled “Strange Currencies”. It was uploaded on YouTube by Darkware and published on Aug 20, 2007.

"Strange Currencies" is included on the album Monster which was recorded in 1994 and released in 1995. As a single it hit #9 in the UK singles chart and peaked at #47 in the United States. Like Everybody Hurts on R.E.M.'s previous album, it has three beats to a bar.

"Strange Currencies"
I don't know why you're mean to me
When I call on the telephone
And I don't know what you mean to me
But I want to turn you on
Turn you up, figure you out
I want to take you on

These words, you will be mine
These words, you will be mine, all the time

Now fool might be my middle name
But I'd be foolish not to say
I'm going to make whatever it takes
Ring you up, call you down, sign your name
Secret love, make it rhyme
Take you in and make you mine

These words, you will be mine
These words, you will be mine, all the time

I tripped and fell, did I fall
What I want to feel
I want to feel it now

Y'know with love comes strange currencies
And here is my appeal
I need a chance, a second chance, a third chance
A fourth chance, a word, a signal
A nod, a little breath
Just to fool myself, to catch myself
And make it real, real

These words, you will be mine
These words, you will be mine, all the time

These words, you will be mine
These words haunt me, hunt me down, catch in my throat
Make me pray, to say love's confines, oh

I hope you like this selection as much as I do and have a blessed evening or morning. Thank you for your continued support. Remember music is a language and these are my thoughts tonight.

Peace and Love always

#MysticMoodsOrchestra "Stormy Weekend" #Musicvideo #DianaMarySharpton #DMS

Introduction:
In a room where
people unanimously maintain
a conspiracy of silence,
one word of truth
sounds like a pistol shot.” ~ Czesław Miłosz

The Paradoxical Commandments
People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.”~ Kent M. Keith

I am being slammed at work and plan to get up early, like 4 am. So, this will be short and sweet. {{{Smile}}}

My featured artist group is the brilliant ~ Mystic Moods Orchestra. “The Mystic Moods Orchestra was a group known for mixing orchestral pop, environmental sounds, and pioneering recording techniques. It was created by audiophile Brad Miller. The first Mystic Moods Orchestra album "One Stormy Night", was released in 1965 through the label Philips.”

This post has the entire album titled "Stormy Weekendwhich is another the of their brilliant feats. If you let the video reload I believe you will get all 12 tracks. The first one is titled "Love is Blue". I have this album and listen to it all the time. It was uploaded on YouTube by Mystic Moods Orchestra - Topic and published on Nov 5, 2014.

I hope you like this selection as much as I do and have a blessed evening or morning. Thank you for your continued support. Remember music is a language and these are my thoughts tonight.

#NorahJones "What Am I Too You?" #Musicvideo #DianaMarySharpton

Introduction:
Don't love someone who wants to be loved, love someone who needs to be loved.
Vanshika Dhyani

How I Feel About Him - Poem by Tammie LeeAnn Thrasher
You give me that special feeling that I’ve never felt before.
You’re all I want- Nothing less, nothing more.

I fall for you more and more every day.
I don’t want to lose you, no way!

When I’m with you, everything else around disappears.
When I think about not being with you, I break out in tears.

I smile a lot to cover the pain.
I smile so much, some may think I’m insane.

I can’t help but to think about you.
I never know what you’re going to do.

You’re so unpredictable.
But it’s ok, it’s cool.

My feelings for you are strong.
Weather we’re just friends, or more, I don’t want anything to go wrong.

I write all of these poems to show how I feel.
But nothing is false, it’s all entirely real.

Why so many? I do not know.
Letting my feelings out of my heart, somehow gives it more room to grow.

I can’t keep everything bottled up inside.
My true heart, I shall not hide.

My featured artist this evening is the sexy and brilliant, Texan ~ Norah Jones and the song titled “What am I to you?" is straight up country originally released in June 2014 as a single. It is the second track on her album "Feels Like Home". The song features The Band musicians Levon Helm on drums and Garth Hudson on the organ. Norah's genre is jazz, country and soft rock. This particular video was uploaded on YouTube by emimusic and published on Feb 24, 2009.

I hope you like this selection as much as I do and have a blessed evening or morning. Thank you for your continued support. Remember music is a language and these are my thoughts tonight.
