Chuck Westmoreland - "The Clouds Beyond Us Carry Rain" #MUSICVIDEO #DianaMarySharpton

Chuck Westmoreland
Introduction:
Every sickness has an alien quality, a feeling of invasion and loss of control that is evident in the language we use about it.
― Siri Hustvedt

My featured guest tonight is the brilliant singer, songwriter, Chuck Westmoreland with a single music video released on September 5, 2016– titled "The Clouds Beyond Us Carry Rain"

Chuck a bar owner and former rock and roll singer, has transitioned nicely into country music. His music speaks to life in the truest since.

“Westmoreland gets to the gritty business of life and death and loss on his solo debut. These aren’t songs about leaving and transformation; these are songs about sticking around in the face of tragedy, setting your feet, and fighting. Bones are cracked open and marrow spooned out with dirty fingers: the good, the bad, and the frustratingly in-between.”

His video is fresh and dramatic leaving me with a somber feeling, a depth that knocked my socks off. Pardon the Texas slang.

I discovered this new talent when he sent me a twitter follow request and yes, I accepted it. An intense lyrical synopsis to this song is noted below:

"The Clouds Beyond us Carry Rain
Cover now as the sunlight scatters around and
The dawn comes like a judge
I pleaded for another hour
Fall away to a shelter in your mind
The clouds beyond us carry rain
Tremble now with our ears unto the ground
The trees follow me to the forest softly bedded down
Come away there ain't no forgiving now
The clouds beyond us bury things
Don't you cry there are children in your eyes
The clouds beyond us carry rain and
The life before us goes untold"

"The Clouds Beyond Us Carry Rain"- is the 4th track in Chuck Westmoreland's self-titled debut album. The album released November 4, 2016 was written, produced, and mixed by Chuck. You can purchase a copy of this remarkable album and get in touch with the talented Chuck Westmoreland as follows:

Chris Stapleton - Tennessee Whiskey #WarmLikeBrandy #LovingU #Musicvideo #DianaMarySharpton

Introduction:

"My task is set before me, girl
My mission clear and true
There’ll be black knights and dragons, girl
But I will always come for you…

― Emme Rollins

My featured guest morning is a brilliant sexy Kentucky singer, songwriter, Christopher Alvin "Chris" Stapleton with the song titled “Tennessee Whiskey(2). This song is the 3rd track from his  mega hit album titled “Traveller”. The album release on May 5, 2015 received critical acclaim and was named Album of the Year 2015 by the Country Music Association Awards.

From a personal perspective, it is all about blue eyed soul! I love this song….!

The genre is Country, Southern rock, Blue-Eyed Soul and it was uploaded on to YouTube, Apr 23, 2015 by ChrisStapletonVEVO. I have listed the lyrics below for your reading pleasure.

"Tennessee Whiskey"(3)
I used to spend my nights out in a barroom
Liquor was the only love I've known
But you rescued me from reachin' for the bottom
And brought me back from being too far gone

You're as smooth as Tennessee whiskey
You're as sweet as strawberry wine
You're as warm as a glass of brandy
And honey, I stay stoned on your love all the time

I've looked for love in all the same old places
Found the bottom of a bottle always dry
But when you poured out your heart I didn't waste it
'Cause there's nothing like your love to get me high

You're as smooth as Tennessee whiskey
You're as sweet as strawberry wine
You're as warm as a glass of brandy
And honey, I stay stoned on your love all the time

You're as smooth as Tennessee whiskey
You're as sweet as strawberry wine
You're as warm as a glass of brandy
And honey, I stay stoned on your love all the time

You're as smooth as Tennessee whiskey

I hope you like this selection as much as I do and have a blessed evening or morning. Thank you for your continued support. Remember music is a language and these are my thoughts tonight.

Peace and Love always

Oh yes Daddy!

Oh yes Daddy! I think your taste is warm like a handle held glass of brandy and smooth like a chilled cup of "le Creme". Damn I want some more.

David Bowie - Let's Dance #Musicvideo #DianaMarySharpton

Introduction:
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing
and right doing there is a field.
I'll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass
the world is too full to talk about.”
― Jalaluddin Rumi

Lately, I have been working very hard on my job and in my business. This said, it is difficult to find the time to express myself.

I do want to tell you a story about a dear friend of mine. She has been beat up by life like we all have and from the stories I have heard maybe a bit more than most. That is not her dilemma. Her problem is that she needs to be loved. I give her my love but it is not just anyone’s affection, it’s the love from someone she cares for deeply. I advised her to go out and socialize, meet people, find someone that will love you and she shook her head… Saying very clearly "I can’t and that won’t fix it." Why?

Then she told my why. She said every choice she made in life about, love, marriage, friendships and the results of trauma were based on taking what was easy and not believing she was worthy of something special. Then she explained to me that she had met someone that was different, that intrigued her, that threw her emotions upside down and completely out of control. She told me that this was the very first time she had not made a decision to love or get involved with someone. “It just happened” were her exact words "effortlessly".

Well then what is the problem I asked her, go get him. Take a risk make your dreams happen and she said she had done this; however for a complexity of reasons, he stepped out of the picture. So what now…was my last question on the subject?

She said "it’s up to him…" She said "I love him and always will… My heart is open… He is worthy of my love no matter what has transpired between us… I want him in my life and if that cannot happen then I will walk alone…"

I pray every night that God hands her the gift of love that she seeks from the person she loves…

The artist and song I am going to feature tonight speaks to this love and the ability to stand fast for those things in life you truly want without anything accepting less. "Let's Dance" is the song title and the singer is none other than the brilliant David Bowie. The song was on the 1983 album of the same name. It was also released as the first single from that album in 1983, and went on to become one of his biggest-selling tracks. Stevie Ray Vaughan played the guitar solo at the end of the song.

The single was one of Bowie's fastest selling, entering the UK Singles Chart at number five on its first week of release, staying at the top of the charts for three weeks. Soon afterwards, the single topped the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Bowie's second and last single to reach number 1 in the U.S.  It was published on YouTube Mar 6, 2009 by emimusic. BTW the video looks like it was made in Australia!!!

Its genre is considered Funk, post-disco, dance-pop, funk rock. I have listed the lyrics for your reading pleasure.

“Let’s Dance
Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah

(Let's Dance) Put on your red shoes and dance the blues
(Let's Dance) To the song they're playing on the radio
(Let's Sway) While colour lights up your face
(Let's Sway) Sway through the crowd to an empty space

If you say run, I'll run with you
If you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall, into my arms
And tremble like a flower
(Let's Dance)

(Let's Dance) For fear your grace should fall
(Let's Dance) For fear tonight is all
(Let's Sway) You could look into my eyes
(Let's Sway) Under the moonlight, this serious moonlight

And if you say run, I'll run with you
And if you say hide, we'll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall, into my arms
And tremble like a flower

(Let's Dance) Put on your red shoes and dance the blues
(Let's Sway) Under the moonlight, this serious moonlight

Let's Sway [x2]
Let's Dance [x5]

Remember music is a language and these are my thoughts tonight. PS... take love seriously. It's what gives life depth.

Love and Peace always
