Norah Jones - "Carry On" #Premiere #Musicvideo #Life #Sorry #DianaMarySharpton

Introduction:
It does take great maturity to understand that the opinion we are arguing for is merely the hypothesis we favor, necessarily imperfect, probably transitory, which only very limited minds can declare to be a certainty or a truth.”
― Milan Kundera

I will not be around much in the foreseeable future. There is the beginning of school, a new position, new supervisor and a new set of personal health goals that are consuming all of my time; however, when there is a good song from an excellent artist, I will make the time.

My featured artist this evening is the brilliant, Texan ~ Norah Jones. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up less than fifty miles from where I live, in Grapevine, Texas. She is a singer, songwriter, actress and plays instruments such as the piano and bass guitar. The song I am featuring this evening is brand new titled “Carry On”. It was uploaded on YouTube by norahjonesVEVO and published on August 6, 2016.

Norah’s genres are jazz, blue-eyed soul, blues, folk, country, adult contemporary and pop. I have added the lyrics for fun but the real storyline is in the video. Check it out. This quote comes to mind after watching it…. The visual is everything!

Sorry….

Sorry means you feel the pulse of other people's pain as well as your own, and saying it means you take a share of it. And so it binds us together, makes us trodden and sodden as one another. Sorry is a lot of things. It's a hole refilled. A debt repaid. Sorry is the wake of misdeed. It's the crippling ripple of consequence. Sorry is sadness, just as knowing is sadness. Sorry is sometimes self-pity. But Sorry, really, is not about you. It's theirs to take or leave.

Sorry means you leave yourself open, to embrace or to ridicule or to revenge. Sorry is a question that begs forgiveness, because the metronome of a good heart won't settle until things are set right and true. Sorry doesn't take things back, but it pushes things forward. It bridges the gap. Sorry is a sacrament. It's an offering. A gift.”
― Craig Silvey

"Carry On"
And after all's been said and done
Who said it best, were you the one?
Let's just forget, leave it behind
And carry on

If you should find the time to speak
Then speak to me, I'd never keep
You from your final destiny
So carry on

Into the quiet I am bound
What you have lost, I've never found
I lost my nerve, yet peace surrounds
So carry on

Into the quiet I am bound
What you have lost, I've never found
I lost my nerve, yet peace surrounds
So carry on

And now that all's been said and done
Who said it best, were you the one?
Let's just forget, leave it behind
And carry on
Let's just forget, leave it behind
And carry on

I hope you like this selection as much as I do and have a blessed evening or morning. Thank you for your continued support. Remember music is a language and these are my thoughts tonight.

Peace and Love always
Diana Mary Sharpton
I looked up at the full moon and thought about you Sugar…
