Betty Wright's A Clean Up Woman Dedicated to Kris Jenner! #mediamasturbation

One Man Show: Betty Wright (2)

Kris Jenner is definitely a clean-up woman! Maybe on the negative side of things like vanity, loving opulence, exploitation of her children, selfish, self-centered etc.…but she is cleaning up on your fascination. It sure isn’t artistic talent. It is like media seduction or even better said media masturbation!

Anyway this song’s by Betty Wright and I am dedicating it to Kris Jenner. It is titled the "Clean up Woman." (1)

Peace Diana

The Kris Talk Show - An Investment Bust?

cephisus liriope gallery(5)

I read an article on line today reported by Yahoo TV and the subject matter was concerning Kris Jenner’s new talk show rating and I will quote…

“Kris Jenner's quest to become the next talk show queen hit a slight bump in the road.
While "Kris" received decent ratings in the first week of its six-week tryout, it fell behind another potential talk show, "The Real."

Both shows debuted July 15, but "The Real" edged out "Kris" in metered market household ratings and key female demographics. Additionally, while "The Real" improved ratings for its timeslot from a year ago, "Kris" actually decreased ratings for its timeslot.

The somewhat disappointing results are surprising, as Jenner has been pushing and promoting her show on every platform available to her, particularly to her 3 million Twitter followers. Meanwhile, it’s doubtful most people have even heard of “The Real,” a panel-style talk show featuring hosts Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon (who just happens to be the ex-girlfriend of Jenner's son, Rob Kardashian), Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley.”(1)

I pray that the American public does NOT buy into yet another “CON” job (i.e. similar to HAND JOB in this particular case) by the Jenner-Kardashian money grubbing media seduction machine. I wonder if this venture will last longer than the infamous 72 day Kim Kardashian (KK for the remainder of this post) nuptials’!

Are we seeing some cracks in this Narcissus(2) fascia? I am certainly not one to wish ill will on anyone; however according to Wrap-TV the #Kardashianbacklash appears to be actually affecting their brand and Kris Jenner and family filed a trumped up law-suite for publicity/ratings for their reality TV show on E TV. I will quote…

“"[T]he filing of this entire lawsuit by the Kardashians was nothing more than part of a carefully orchestrated aspect of the Episode," the motion reads. "The entire saga culminating in the filing of the complaint in this action was orchestrated off screen by the Kardashians and then scripted for the Episode."

The motion states that Pearson-Kardashian is seeking to file counterclaims for defamation, public disclosure of private facts, intentional infliction of emotional distress, civil harassment and civil conspiracy to defame.”(3)

I have not personally wasted my time and actually watched “The Kris” talk show; however it seems appropriate that the FOX network would invest in “SLIM TV”. Weren’t they going to publish the OJ Simpson tell-all book but were forced to back down?(4)

Let's see Kris Jenner to Vanity as Kardashian to OJ for me!

The relevance of comparing Narcissus to Kris Jenner and KK, from my perception, can be compared to the definision by Wikiedia as follows:

"Narcissism is a term that originated with Narcissus in Greek mythology who fell in love with his own image reflected in a pool of water. Currently it is used to describe a person characterized by egotismvanitypride, or selfishness."(2)

Just saying and calling it as I see it… Peace Diana

The Dutchess - "Big Girls Don't Cry" #Musicvideo #DianaMarySharpton

Fergie-Big Girls Don't Cry (2)
Sometimes we see the jagged rocks in our path, but we still can’t avoid them.” ~ Brenda Novak

I have been taking a break from writing, just for a minute. I do have a song for you tonight. This artist typically plays with the Black-Eyed-Peas; however Fergie sang "Big Girls Don't Cry" (1) for her debut studio album, The Dutchess (2006).I just love this song, the lyrics and the vocal styling.

It’s really just an opinion, but Fergie should be a lead singer. Her voice and talent should/can focus on other genres that accentuate her sensual style….such as portrayed in this song…Tell me what you think?

I am just saying...

I hope you like this selection as much as I do and have a blessed evening or morning. Thank you for your continued support. Remember music is a language and these are my thoughts tonight.

Peace and Love always

Joss Stone-Yep Another Great Singer from England!

Joss Stone - Joss Stone Wallpaper (3)

When I heard this next lady sing, I was absolutely amazed at her range and voice control. She has been around, but, again new to me. An interesting fact is that she is another wonderful singer song writer from England. Her name of course is Joss Stone and the song title is The Love We Had.(1)

I hope everyone is having a safe and wonderful Friday.

Peace Diana

Lyrics: (2)

"The Love We Had (Stays On My Mind)"
Lately baby, I've been thinking
How good it was when you were here
And it ain't the wine that I been drinking
For once I feel my head is clear

But early this morning, when I opened up my eyes
That old lonesome feeling took me by surprise
I guess you meant more to me than I realized
The love we had stays on my mind
The love we had stays on my mind

And lately girl, I've been remembering
The good times that we used to share
My thoughts of you don't have an ending
And memories of you are everywhere

But why should I tell you, it's not your concern
You win some, you lose some
Well I've lost and I've learned
It's just that I'm so lonely
With no place to turn
And here at the end, I find
Yes I do

The love we had stays on my mind
Girl, if you were nearer
If you had a mirror
Maybe you could count my tears

And if you were nearer
It would all be clearer
How I wish that you were here
How I wish that you were here
How I wish, how I wish
How I wish that you were here

And baby girl I was tired
So I laid down to dream for a little while
But lately I've been so, so uninspired
Without the comfort of your smile

But I'm not complaining
Cuz that's how it goes
There's always some heartache
In this world I suppose
But you can't imagine
But nobody knows

The love we had stays on my mind
The love we had stays on my mind
The love we had stays on my mind

Swedish House Madia ft.Shweta Subram to Toast to my new Summer Schedule! #MUSICVIDEO #DianaMarySharpton

Shweta Subram - Facebook (3)

Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength.”

― Corrie ten Boom

My third week into a summer schedule and I am loving the three day weekend bit. Anyway, I found a musical group (new only to me) and love their sound. The group’s name is Swedish House Mafia.

The unfortunate news is that they no longer are together. As you probably have come to the correct conclusion, I love to collect eccentric sounds regardless of the genre. Some information concerning the artists’ is as follows:

Swedish House Mafia was a Swedish electronic dance music trio consisting of three house disc jockeys and producers: Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso. The group officially formed in late 2008.
Active until: March 24, 2013
Active from: 2008
Members: Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello
Record labels: Virgin Records, Ministry of Sound, Astralwerks, More

The song title is "Don’t Worry Child (Khushnuma) ft. Shweta Subram."(1) I cannot understand what Shweta sings about so I added the lyrics in English. The lyrics kinda goes with the conclusion of a short story I recently published titled Mari ~Parts I through III~ check them out if you get a chance...

Don't You Worry Child (2)
There was a time, I used to look into my father's eyes
In a happy home, I was a king I had a gold throne
Those days are gone, now the memories are on the wall
I hear the sounds from the places where I was born

Up on the hill across the blue lake,
That's where I had my first heartbreak
I still remember how it all changed
My father said,
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now"

"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now"

There was a time, I met a girl of a different kind.
We ruled the world, I thought I'll never lose her out of sight.
We were so young, I think of her now and then
I still hear a song reminding me of a friend

Up on the hill across the blue lake,
That's where I had my first heartbreak
I still remember how it all changed
My father said,
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now"

Oh, oh, oh!
See heaven's got a plan for you

"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now"

Oh, oh, oh, oh!

I just love Shweta's trill! If you have a moment, I recommend quick listen. It’s enjoyable.
Peace Diana

Radio Shack Press Release by Ellin Holly - Is It DOOMED?

Someone asked me the other day when was the last time you went to Radio Shack and made a purchase. I had to give it some thought. Frankly, it was about 10 years ago. I went in to buy some radio operated cars for my sons. One didn’t run and when I tried to take it back and or get my money refunded. They would not honor the warranty. I have never returned to this store again. That was the last straw via a variety of issues over the years. Understand, I was a loyal customer.

The reason I am bring this up is that they are in the news today and the company looks like it finally did the right thing by getting rid of their Chief Executive Officer, Joseph C. Magnacca. I am going to add a copy of the in depth press release by Radio Shack below. I am, also, going to go out on a limb and predict that this company will more than likely be visiting the bankruptcy courts by year end.
News Release (1)
RadioShack Reports Financial Results for Second Quarter 2013 Including Second Quarter Comparable Store Sales Growth of 1.3%
Holly F. Etlin Appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer

FORT WORTH, Texas, July 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- RadioShack Corporation (NYSE: RSH) reported results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013.
Joseph C. Magnacca, chief executive officer, said, "While the second quarter presented a number of challenges, it is noteworthy that we generated comparable store sales growth for the first time since 2010, and increased sales for the sixth consecutive quarter in our high-margin signature platform of products. In addition, we made progress on the initiatives we outlined last quarter in repositioning our branding, opening a new concept store, streamlining our product assortment, and entering new strategic partnerships.

"At the same time, our profitability was not where we would have liked. Our strategy this quarter was designed to move through unproductive inventory and test a variety of promotional vehicles, which we knew would have an impact on gross margin rate, but would help us identify opportunities to better align our promotional marketing going forward.

"Looking ahead, we expect the turnaround to take several quarters, and during that time our results may vary from quarter to quarter as we make strategic changes to improve our long-term financial performance. We will be guided by the five pillars of our turnaround strategy – repositioning the brand, revamping our product assortment, reinvigorating our stores, operational efficiency and financial flexibility. To support and accelerate the turnaround, we have decided to bring inAlixPartners, a global business advisory firm with expertise in corporate turnarounds, and Peter J. Solomon Company, an investment banking firm.

"We have a clear plan of action and our team is completely focused on driving the business forward. I remain confident that we can build on our strengths, improve our financial performance, and return this company to a position of prominence in the lexicon of American retailers," Mr. Magnacca concluded.

The company also announced that Dorvin D. Lively has resigned to pursue a new career opportunity and that Holly F. Etlin, a managing director at AlixPartners, has been named interim Chief Financial Officer.

§ Total net sales and operating revenues were $845 million, compared to $849 million last year. The decline was driven by the impact from closed stores offset by comparable store sales growth of 1.3%. Our signature platform generated the sixth consecutive quarter of sales growth in our U.S. company-operated stores.

§ Gross profit was $314 million, compared with $340 million last year. Gross profit performance was negatively impacted by a soft demand for postpaid units and consumer response to specific promotions during the quarter.

§ Gross margin was 37.2% of net sales, compared to 40.1% last year. Gross margin performance was negatively impacted by our planned promotional strategy this quarter, which included testing different promotions and clearance events.

§ Selling, general and administrative (SG&A) expenses were $337 million, or 39.9% of net sales, compared with $337 million last year.

§ Operating loss was $41 million, compared to $14 million last year.

§ Net loss was $53 million, or $0.53 per diluted share, compared to net loss of $21 million last year.

§ The company continues to have a strong balance sheet and total liquidity of $818 million as of June 30, 2013.

The company ended the second quarter with total liquidity of $818 million, including cash and cash equivalents of $432 million and $386 million of available credit under the asset-based revolving credit facility that expires in January 2016.

During the quarter, the company repurchased $2 million in principal value of the 2013 Convertible Notes due August 1, 2013, for a total purchase price of $2 million.

The company's total debt was $713 million at June 30, 2013. The 2013 Convertible Notes, which had a par value of $375 million when issued, had a remaining aggregate principal amount of $214 millionat June 30, 2013. As previously stated, the company's intention is to pay the balance of the Convertible Notes at maturity with cash. The balance of the company's debt comes due between 2016 and 2019.

Capital spending totaled $6 million in the second quarter compared to $17 million last year.

Following Dorvin Lively's decision to pursue a new career opportunity with a strategic equity-owned retail company, the company is undertaking a search for a permanent chief financial officer.

Daniel R. Feehan, Non-Executive Chairman of RadioShack's Board, said, "On behalf of our entire Board, I would like to thank Dorvin for his substantial contribution and integral role in our transformation efforts, as well as his steady leadership as our interim CEO. We understand and respect his desire to move forward with a meaningful new professional opportunity, and we wish him well."

Joseph Magnacca, Chief Executive Officer, said, "Dorvin has been an important partner to me personally over the past few months as I joined the team, and we appreciate the range of his services to RadioShack. We are also very pleased that Holly Etlin will be stepping in to serve as the interim CFO."

Mr. Lively said, "I am looking forward to the next step in my career, knowing that I leave the Company in good hands as it continues on its turnaround path with a revamped management team, a new strategic vision, and strong liquidity and financial flexibility."

At the Moment (1)

You only need one man to love you. But him to love you free like a wildfire, crazy like the moon, always like tomorrow, sudden like an inhale and overcoming like the tides. Only one man and all of this.”

― C. JoyBell C.

The artist selected to goes by the stage name Rome. I have not seen or heard much from him since the release of his self-titled album “Rome” in 1997. The genre is an American R&B and the song presented tonight is “I Belong to You(2). The whole album is just hot trust me on that. The video was uploaded to YouTube in 1997 as well.

I have listed the lyrics below for your reading pleasure.

I Belong to You(3)
Everytime I see your face it makes me want to sing
And everytime I think about your love
It drives me crazy (2x)

Say my lady
Tell me what's wrong with your boyfriend
Aaaahhhhh come on
He holds the key to your heart
But he don't love you baby, baby like I do
Only wanna be with you
Girl you are the love of my life babe
And I'd give it to you baby
You belong to me and only me
I belong to you (I belong)
I'd give all my love to you

Everytime I see your face it makes me want to sing
And everytime I think about your love it drives me crazy

Say my lady
You are so fine
I wake up in the mornin' to see a smile on your face (baby)
You are the queen of my heart baby
I belong to you and you belong to me (yeah)
Girl you are the love of my life baby
All those cloudy days they fade away when you come my way baby
I belong to you (I belong)
I'd give all my love to you

I belong, I belong, I belong to you baby oooooo

Remember my music, my language and my words.

Let's Wrap of this Week-End w/Ambrosia - How Much I Feel #musicvideo #DianaMarySharpton

Ambrosia – How Much I Feel (1)

The timeless in you is aware of life's timelessness. And knows that yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream.
― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet

I am feeling a bit blue and lonely and need that music pick me up. It’s the end of a lovely three day summer week-end and that of course compounds my sentiments. The band I am going to pick is from the 70’s. Yes, you are going to have stretch and dig deep into that memory card for Ambrosia and the song is titled "How Much I Feel."(1)

How Much I Feel (2)
I don't know how this whole business started
Of you thinkin' that I have been untrue.
But if you think that we'd be better parted,
It's gonna hurt me, but I'll break away from you.
Well, just give me the sign and I will be gone, yeah.

That's how much I feel, feel for you, baby.
How much I need, well I need your touch.
How much I live, I live for your loving.
That's how much, that's how much,
That's how much, that's how much.

I sleep alone, and late at night I'm dreamin'
Of the togetherness that seems to be leaving me.
I'd give it all and then I'd give some more
If you would only love me like you had before.
Well, take hold of my hand and all will be forgiven, yeah.

That's how much I feel, feel for you, baby.
How much I need, well I need your touch.
How much I live, I live for your loving.
That's how much, that's how much,
That's how much, that's how much.

So you try, try to stay in the middle.
And then you cry, well you cry just a little.
Then you both realize
Just how foolish you've been.
And you try to make amends
But you're better off as friends.
'Cause that's how much, that's how much,
That's how much, that's how much.

How's your life been goin' on?
I've got a wife now. Years we've been goin' strong.
There's just something that I've got to say:
Sometimes when we make love,
I still can see your face.
Ooh, just try to recall
When we were as one, yeah.

That's how much I feel, feel for you, baby.
How much I need, well I need your touch.
How much I live, I live for your loving.
That's how much, that's how much,
That's how much, that's how much.

Grilled T-Bone & Shrimp served alongside Spicy Okra with Crab Meat over Steamed White Ed Sheeran's 'Perfect" #MusicVideo #DianaMarySharpton

I focused on him. Everything still seemed blurry, but he was close enough that I could see him. He was completely soaked. His jeans, shoes, jacket, and shirt. He was just as wet as I was. His normally messy blond hair was darker and flat to his head from the weight of the water.
Dark shadows haunted his eyes and his lips were pale from the cold.
"You jumped in after me," I whispered.
"I'd jump into the pits of hell for you, Rim.”

― Cambria Hebert

One of my very favorite dishes is spicy okra with crab meat over white rice. This Sunday, the menu is a grilled T-Bone and Shrimp served alongside Spicy Okra with Crab Meat over Steamed White Rice.  You can review my previous posts to see how I grilled the steak and shrimp. The secret is fresh lime juice, Webbers Cajun Seafood spice for the shrimp and Webbers Chicago Style Steak spice for the T-Bone.

My cooking focus for today is the spicy okra with crab meat over steamed white rice.

Spicy Crab and Okra Ingredients:
© copywrite by DMS Photography all rights reserved (1)
1 lbs. okra
1/2 red onion – chop in thin long slices and then cross cut.
1/4 fresh jalapeno without seeds - minced
1 bunch of cilantro
1 can of Rotel Tomatoes/Cilantro/Lime/Jalapeno
1 clove garlic - minced
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp. chile powder
1 tsp. ground cumin seeds
1 Tbsp. chicken bouillon
1/4 tsp. cayenne
1/2 tsp. salt plus more to taste
1/2 lemon for juice
1/2 to 1 lb. fully cooked crab meat.

Trim off the stem ends from the okra and cut the pods into 1/4- to 1/2-inch slices; place in bowl. Then peel and thinly slice the "red" onion adding to the bowl of okra along with the minced jalapeno. Heat oil in a medium to a large frying pan and sauté all the ingredients in the bowl over a medium high heat. Browning the okra will eliminate the slime factor. After 3-5 minutes add the mince the garlic and set them both aside. A secret is only stir occasionally.

Add chili powder, ground cumin seeds, salt and cayenne, to the okra and cook, stirring occasionally, another 30 seconds. Add the can of tomatoes, lime juice and chicken bouillon and 1 cup of water. Stir combine and cover. Reduce heat to maintain a steady simmer and cook until okra is tender and flavors are blended, 3 to 5 minutes. Add the cooked crab meat at the very end and simmer for an additional 3 minutes.

Serve over steamed white rice.

Just amazing! All mine even the picture....

To accompany this delicious meal I have selected a brilliant artist that can speak to where my heart is right now. That's right Ed Sheeran singing "Perfect"(2).

I have listed the lyrics below for your reading pleasure. Enjoy and have a brilliant weekend!

I found a love for me
Darling, just dive right in and follow my lead
Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet
Oh, I never knew you were the someone waiting for me
'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love
Not knowing what it was
I will not give you up this time
But darling, just kiss me slow, your heart is all I own
And in your eyes you're holding mine

Baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight

Well I found a woman, stronger than anyone I know
She shares my dreams, I hope that someday I'll share her home
I found a love, to carry more than just my secrets
To carry love, to carry children of our own
We are still kids, but we're so in love
Fighting against all odds
I know we'll be alright this time
Darling, just hold my hand
Be my girl, I'll be your man
I see my future in your eyes

Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
When I saw you in that dress, looking so beautiful
I don't deserve this, darling, you look perfect tonight

Baby, I'm dancing in the dark, with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
I have faith in what I see
Now I know I have met an angel in person
And she looks perfect, I don't deserve this

You look perfect tonight

Love and Peace Always
