On a cold Tuesday Evening we have “Cold Cold Heart” by #NorahJones #MUSICVIDEO #DianaMarySharpton #PointingFingersIsNegative #ILovU #NeedU #InMyLife

You don't run from the people who need you. You fight for them. You fight beside them. No matter the cost. No matter the risk.”
― Rick Yancey

This my last post for the evening, I will be working with #Battleground Texas tomorrow and may not be back online for a couple of days. It’s been a dreary, cool day with a slight hint of melancholy for me. I still went to the polls and voted. As predicted, the precinct judges spent ten minutes trying to find a discrepancy in ID name. I was lucky, this has been the name I was given since birth and no will find issue with that!

The music selection for this post is titled “Cold Cold Heart(2) by the beautiful and brilliant Brooklyn, NY, native, Norah Jones. This song was original released on February 14, 2002 in her Grammy Award winning debut album titled “Come Away With Me”. The video was uploaded on YouTube September 8, 2010. The genre is deemed country/pop with some elements of jazz and blues.

Honestly the lyrics of this song reminds me of those couples that have problems. Instead of finding solutions, they point fingers which in my opinion makes it worse.

The lyrics are listed below for your reading pleasure.

Cold Cold Heart
I tried so hard my dear to show that you're my every dream.
Yet you're afraid each thing I do is just some evil scheme
A memory from your lonesome past keeps us so far apart
Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold cold heart
Another love before my time made your heart sad and blue
And so my heart is paying now for things I didn't do
In anger unkind words are said that make the teardrops start
Why can't I free your doubtful mind, and melt your cold cold heart
You'll never know how much it hurts to see you sit and cry
You know you need and want my love yet you're afraid to try
Why do you run and hide from life, to try it just ain't smart
Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold cold heart
There was a time when I believed that you belonged to me
But now I know your heart is shackled to a memory
The more I learn to care for you, the more we drift apart
Why can't I free your doubtful mind and melt your cold cold heart
