Spring
“If people did not love one another, I really don't see what use there would be in having any spring.”
― Victor Hugo
Spring
Spring emerged from obscurity today,
However reluctant; authentic, all the same,
As she crosses a meandering bridge,
Hurling letdown; seized in prophetic privilege.
She forces, Sun’s vacation to quickly end,
I for one have missed this dear old friend,
And she’ll raise the devils hell; in the next month or two,
Tossing wind, rain o'er akin to a bullied victim played the fool!
Grass, leaves, flowers, scream praise as life reforms,
Attempts to unwind goes array amid these April storms,
Summer touches her with intensity under brilliance of a full moon,
And her rage calms to an evening dip in water with warmth that cools.
She arrives with force to wake the land from its winter slumber,
I look forward to cordiality formed; when spring meets her summer.

To accompany my poem I have selected a country song titled "Kenny Chesney - Setting the World On Fire"(2). It was published on YouTube Sep 15, 2016 by KennyChesneyVEVO. I have also listed lyrics for your reading pleasure.
"Setting the World On Fire"(3)
Yeah we got drunk on La Cienega Boulevard
Taking pictures of people we thought were stars
It’s easy to give in to your heart
When you’re drunk on La Cienega Boulevard
When the song comin' out of the speakers
Was the band that you had on your t-shirt
We were screamin' cause all the streets were empty
And you kissed me, and we were
Up all night and we were feelin' so good
Yeah, we got a little higher than we probably should
We were in a hotel singin' in the hallway lights
We were strikin' the matches right down to the ashes
Setting the world on fire, setting the world on fire
Wrote I love you in lipstick on the mirror
We were shoutin' out the window, like they could hear us at the pier
Said "Do you think we’ll live forever?"
As we killed another beer
And you wrote I love you in lipstick on the mirror
We were laughin' until we were breathless
Never felt anything so reckless, we were all lit up and restless
And coming alive and we were
Up all night and we were feelin' so good
Yeah, we got a little higher than we probably should
We were in a hotel singin' in the hallway lights
We were strikin' the matches right down to the ashes
Setting the world on fire, setting the world on fire
Up all night and we were feelin' so good
Yeah, we got a little higher than we probably should
We were in a hotel singin' in the hallway lights
We were strikin' the matches right down to the ashes
Setting the world on fire, setting the world on fire
World all on fire
We were setting
The world all on fire
We were setting
The world all on fire
World all on fire
Thank your continued support and I pray your day or evening is marvelous.
Love and Peace Always Diana
