Introduction:
“In the extremes of chaos, I found balance through your control” ~ Diana Mary Sharpton © 2015 all rights reserved
Chaos
A steel ball; that is she
Sliding across a stone counter
In between friction
In layers of a viscous fluid
Five feet above ground
And there’s sound; a train rushing
Detached
Void of emotion
A projectile; eyeless
Slowly gaining speed
Without hands to stop motion
Rolling to the edge of existence
Gradually wobbling over
Dropping…
To hear her screaming
Stop!
Slamming against concrete
Bouncing, one two three times
To rotate vicariously
Until hitting a shoe
Out of breath
She looks up, calmly
And… it is you
