DISTURBED “The Sounds of Silence” #Musicvideo w/A Political Opinion #DianaMarySharpton #LetsTalk #URMyLovOfLife

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing
and right doing there is a field.
I'll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass
the world is too full to talk about.”

― Jalaluddin Rumi

It’s a Monday and the world watched millions of American people cast their vote for change last week (i.e. the 3rd time in eight years) and the subsequent reaction from thousands protesting its results all weekend long. The establishment (i.e. “Left”, “Right” and the Media) stand in shock. Gasping for air trying to justify their miscalculations and bad projections. They were so sure that their path was the right one. Be it the “Left” with a status quo agenda of corruption, mediocrity, exclusion, lies and empty promises, the “Right” by not recognizing or hearing the voice of “Middle” Americans screaming for change and then there is “the Media” for interference and spinning the truth. Presumably for all times.

The powers thought they led with the correct agenda, fixed the right problems and listened to ALL the people. Yet, there is a quiet little secret and that is “all is NOT right with America”. This top-secret fact goes public and that is that a segment of our society at the end of the day has been ignored and not heard (i.e.  Main Stream America). Main Stream America from my perspective is all races disenfranchised by Washington, with heavy taxation, eroding jobs opportunities and health care benefits.

The "Left" believes that this American election will be detrimental to our future, that it will bring back historic prejudice, racism, bigotry and pain; however no one saw that these attitudes still exist. That the prescribed changes enacted upon our country by the “Left” (i.e. or “Right”) did not balance the cultural divide. They only widen and deepened the resentments built up on both sides; a feeling across the board which has nothing and everything to do with the color of one’s skin and social standing. Those in power from one period to the next did not amend anything only transferred it to the back of the room. Hoping that in this darkness no one would speak outloud.

Did anyone noticed that isolation and exclusion was on the other side of the fence? That intolerance and the forgotten were down the end of a darkened pathway. Don’t let the media lie to you or convince you otherwise. With their baseless statistics and false projections. These attitudes are still alive and well. This said how can anything be right with the America or the world for that matter when the prescribed changes did nothing to mend this social rift irrespective of who recieved the peoples vote?

The “Right” or “Left” historically has never addressed the “whole” problem only pieces. They have enacted laws and modifications through the false impression that they were given a majority voter mandate, a prescription so to speak that will fix the whole. All they did was to fill their pockets with gold and forgot that this nation was built on “We the People”. Throwing the burden on the silent majority that stands in the middle via more taxes and less opportunity, mostly because of their social economic standing which is dwindling year by year. They have no lobbyist or high powered lawyers. All they have is a vote every four years which if you havn't notice swings for change.

Main Stream America is not happy with the status quo. Why? The answer to this question I will leave to you.

It is my opinionI will say that it does not have anything to do with the “popular vote” and/or “stealing the presidency”. That we are in a time of inordinate unrest due not only to this cultural and economic disenfranchisement but also to a merciless violent phenomenon from civil war in Eastern nations and one that will infect more and more of our western cultures, countries, cities, towns and our cherished way of life; a world which keeps getting smaller and smaller and more and more violent as our days turn into nights. Mark my words.

So, what now. We wait and see if President Elect Trump, that was legitimately elected, listened to ALL the voices before him and acts accordingly for “We the People” as promised and ignores those political corrupt agendas from the “Left” and/or “Right” that currently runs Washington.

The artist and song I am going to feature tonight speaks to this time of unrest and fear. It is a powerful rendition of Simon and Garfunkel’s huge 1964 hit titled “The Sounds of Silence”. It is a rock/folk genre and sung brilliantly by the heavy metal rock band called DISTURBED with lead singer David Draiman. The band originated in Chicago, Illinois in 1994.

The Sound of Silence” was the eleventh tract on their sixth studio album titled “Immortalized” and the band’s third single. A cross-over success which marked DISTURBED’S highest ranked single on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 42 and released on December 7, 2015. The Musicvideo was published on YouTube by DISTURBED on  Dec 8, 2015.

"The Sound Of Silence"(3)
(originally by Simon & Garfunkel)

Hello, darkness, my old friend.
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping.

And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence.

In restless dreams I walked alone.
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp.
I turned my collar to the cold and damp

When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence.

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more.
People talking without speaking.
People hearing without listening.

People writing songs that voices never share.
And no one dare
Disturb the sound of silence.

"Fools," said I, "You do not know:
Silence, like a cancer, grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you.
Take my arms that I might reach you,"

But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence.

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made.
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming.

And the sign said,
"The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls.

And whispered in the sound of silence."

I hope you like this selection as much as I do and have a blessed evening or morning. Thank you for your continued support. Remember music is a language and these are my thoughts tonight. With one thought, one can speak to another if they desire to do so. It takes a step...

Peace and Love always
Diana Mary Sharpton

I love you, Sugar, irrespective how you treat me... silence is painful but you will change this, I know..... I don't know why things have changed from last week. from my perspective nothing changed... maybe you might share this for an understanding. No matter how you try to diminish me, you as I you cannot. I love you.
