My featured artist this morning is the multi-talented and brilliant Jacob Banks was born in Nigeria and relocated
to Birmingham, England. He is new to me and definitely an original fresh sound that echoes an
urban earthy blues. His music is typically considered a R&B, Soul, and
Hip-Hop genre.
The song selected is titled "Dear Simone". It is the third track on his 2013 album titled "The Monologue. The song was uploaded on YouTube by Miri Biton and published on August 16, 2017
At little about the artists found on their website: http://www.mrjacobbanks.com/content/about
"Born in Nigeria, Jacob Banks moved to Birmingham in England at the age of 13. Not short of talent, the Brit dabbled in all forms of the creative arts and began singing, playing guitar, and writing songs at the age of 20. A music lover first and foremost, Banks got his start at open mic nights and quickly garnered a following for his commanding vocal presence and daringly intimate songwriting. His music features richly textured beats, with its 808s and synth play, African inspired grooves and a soulful disposition that culminates in an unstoppable new sound. Banks debuted with his EP The Monologue, earning feverish acclaim that saw him supporting artists such as Emeli Sandé, Sam Smith and Alicia Keys on tour around the U.K. Now, at work on his Interscope Records debut (the follow-up to self-released EP The Paradox), Banks hopes to reenergize soul music for a new generation hoping to be their solace in hard times and a battery pack on a slow Monday morning.”

I love this song!
"Dr. Simone"
Jacob Banks
Dear simone, I'm all alone,
And I need you here, to wipe my tears away
Dear simone, where have you been?
Cause I need you near, cause I'm drowning in my fear
So I'm driving down this road,
With no place, no place to go
Nothing but memories,
Only you and I, only you and I will ever know
Tears falling down my face,
Used to be tears of joy,
You took my lovin away,
Oh, dear simone, I'm all alone
And I need you here,
To wipe my tears away
Dear simone, where have you been?
Cause I need you near, cause I'm drowning in my fear
Paying the falls in my end
The soul is mend, here I stand for you baby
What's in life pass me by
Only if you were by my side
I tried everything I should
I gave everything I could to you baby
Pouring my words up to the sky
Oh, I'm not gonna say goodbye
So if you ever change your mind up baby
Just call me, call me babe, call me to you darling
I've waiting, waiting, waiting for you, for you, my baby
Waiting for you, I'm all alone,
And I need you here,
To wipe my fucking tears away
Dear simone, where have you been?
Man I need you near, because I'm drownin in my fuckin fears
Dear simone, I'm all alone,
And I need you here,
To wipe my fucking tears away
Dear simone, where have you been?
Oh I need you here
To wipe my fucking tear away.
I hope you like this selection as much as I do and have a blessed evening
or morning. Thank you for your continued support. Remember music is a
language and these are my thoughts tonight.
Peace and Love always
