“By now you know: I come from another planet. But I will never say to you, "Take me to your leaders." Even I--unused to your ways though I am--would never make that mistake. We ourselves have such beings among us, made of cogs, pieces of paper, small disks of shiny metal, scraps of colored cloth. I do not need to encounter more of them.
Instead I will say, "Take me to your trees. Take me to your breakfasts, your sunsets, your bad dreams, your shoes, your nouns. Take me to your fingers; take me to your deaths."
These are worth it. These are what I have come for.”
― Margaret Atwood, Good Bones
I find this song to be about the changing tides in a relationship. There is tenderness, emotion, feverish passion and with time the story
of friendship and cherished love. "The Bones" is the 12th track on Maren's second studio album titled "Girl" released March 8, 2019. The genre is considered country, pop and R&B.
Maren Morris is from Arlington, Texas and brand new to me. I love her song and sound!!!. Come check it out.

"The Bones are Good"(3)
"The Bones are Good"(3)
by Morris, Robbins, & Veltz
We're in the homestretch of the high times
We took a hard left
But we're alright
Yeah, life sure can try to put love through it, but
We built this right, so nothing's ever gonna move it
When the bones are good, the rest don't matter
Yeah, the paint could peel, the glass could shatter
Let it break 'cause you and I remain the same
When there ain't a crack in the foundation
Baby, I know any storm we're facing
Will blow right over while we stay put
The house don't fall when the bones are good
Call it dumb luck, but baby, you and I
Can't even mess it up although we both try
No, it don't always go the way we planned it
But the wolves came and went and we're still standing
When the bones are good, the rest don't matter
Yeah, the paint could peel, the glass could shatter
Let it break 'cause you and I remain the same
When there ain't a crack in the foundation
Baby, I know any storm we're facing
Will blow right over while we stay put
The house don't fall when my bones are good
When the bones are good
Bones are good, the rest, the rest don't matter
(Baby, it don't really matter)
Paint could peel, the glass could shatter
(Oh, the glass, oh, the glass could shatter)
Bones are good, the rest, the rest don't matter (Ooh)
Paint could peel, the glass, the glass could shatter (Yeah)
When the bones are good, the rest don't matter
Yeah, the paint could peel, the glass could shatter
Let it break (Let it break, let it break)
'Cause you and I remain the same (Woo)
When there ain't a crack in the foundation (Woo)
Baby, I know any storm we're facing
Will blow right over while we stay put
The house don't fall when the bones are good
Yeah, ooh
